November 26 MSTW Newsletter Editorial (December Edition)Here is something I wrote for the MSTW Newsletter Editorial (December Edition). Thanks to Moli for doing the final proof reading and editing for me! Enjoy the reading! ____________________________________

It was a movie Jay recommended a while back, called "An Inconvenient Truth". The friend who got the movie for me said that he fell asleep no more than 10 minutes after the movie started. I'd admit that it's not your typical Hollywood movie. No actions, no stunning visual effects, and above all, it doesn't have a storyline at all! But I like the movie a lot. Or maybe it shouldn't be called "a movie"....
Global Warming is one of the most-discussed societal issues lately. Many people would treat it like any other news issues they watch daily, others may be hyped for a while and forget about it after some time. For those of you who are really concerned but do not know the facts behind Global Warming, I recommend that you go and checkout this "movie". It has touched me, but not in the ways normal Hollywood movies would have. It's really just Al Gore talking; presenting his slide shows; and bits and pieces of his life that made him passionate about this problem. It touched me not because of the story, nor because of Gore's life, but the simplicity of it. Simply… how effective those small facts can move you. Believe it or not, Gore isn't even the best speaker I've ever encounter!
As I start my FY08 planning. I'm searching of the one thing that I must do this year. Whatever it'll be, I'll make sure that it is the RIGHT thing. And I want all my spawns (MSPs out there, if you're reading) to do the same as well.
So this 1 1/2 hour video watching actually added insights to work... maybe this weekend isn't that sluggish at all! hehehe.... July 03 Mood SwingSun sign at Pixces, moon sign at Gemini and of blood type AB, gives you what? You do the math!
Sometimes I don't even get myself, specially the chaos inside. It would need an stimulant of course. I'm not crazy... just complex I guess.
It's hard to tell why I feel so right now, but on my way home, I did realize something that I think is worthwhile to share.
When you feel down or sad, look up! You will see Him. The vast open sky comforted me. It feels like someone patting your back and telling you that it's all right, I'm here with you. I look up and see the wonders of the Lord and I feel peace.
What about now? I don't have the blue sky to comfort me.... June 29 Where your treasure is?For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (LUKE 12:34 ) "What you value most is your treasure. Where you spend your time and your money is your treasure. Whatever dominates your conversation is what you treasure. What others know you for is a good indication of what your treasure is." --Blackaby Daily Devotion Prioritizing is often the first homework a freshman ought to finish. Take this assignment for overnight; one might be able to come up with a fabulous work coupled with a flawless justification. Yet to really garner a high score at this homework, one needs to get to know oneself a little bit more. It is through reflection and probably some soul-seeking that one can really say I have found the purpose of my life. It also takes a little check-up every so often to see if you were true to yourself, or you simply wanted a high score. Everyone has their own treasures to pursue. Big or small, whatever or whoever that is, at any given time, don’t lose sight on Him. Don’t be too hard on yourself too! Take some time out for Him and for yourself. One more day before the weekend, TGFS -- thank God for Saturday and Sabbath as well! Take care!
June 25 WeirdnessThere are no early meetings, no early conference call, nor an early flight to catch today. Yet I woke up really early.Weird.
Didn't really sleep early last night. Weird.
As I try to ponder upon this weirdness, kinda felt that I miseed something last week (counting Sunday as the last day of the week here). Missing as in... wasn't able to do something. Then again what is that.... don't really know what's nudging.... Ah, what the heck!
Hope this week is exciting! June 24 An unexpected letterDad finally learned how to access the web and write emails. With that, he wrote me something really sweet today. I was really touched. It's about something very trivial, but still! I wonder was it because he wrote in English or it's just because he really miseed me. In any case, the letter made my day and I can't wait to see him and mom on Wednesday! |
